I’m filled with gratitude as I write this post for Julie & Kelley! I am bursting on the inside at the goodness of God and how He brings people together!
Julie first contacted me just after her engagement to Kelley and I knew that she was special! Her contact form made me cry and she told me so much of what God had already done in her own life. Being single and doing life as an occupational therapist and church pianist, she had found her community here in Augusta where she was surrounded by the best of friends and family. Needless to say, she was elated to find love and to meet the one God had for her. Julie waited for the right person to come along, though it may have been longer than she anticipated. She embraced God’s perfect timing, and that makes her testimony and their story that much sweeter!
Julie & Kelley met last January on Facebook through mutual friends. What seemed to be casual conversation over social media became intentional pursuit. A long-distance relationship between Augusta and Memphis blossomed for these two! By the spring, Julie was convinced she wanted to marry Kelley, and her love only grew for him as she learned of his love for others and his commitment as a hospice physician. She and Kelley grew in their relationship together, and he proposed! Julie joyfully accepted, and they began to make plans for a wedding! And to think this all happened so quickly! I’ve heard it said, “When you know, you know!” This is definitely one of those stories!
When Julie first reached out to me, she wrote:
“I have dreamed of this day and prayed that the Lord might see fit to bring it my way. And if He did, I knew that He would make His name great in a story that only He could write. He has done that and then some.”
What a beautiful inspiration to those waiting and still hoping for marriage. I am so honored that Julie & Kelley would allow me to document such a long-awaited day! I’ve never seen so many guests so excited for their friends! These joyful images are so refreshing, and I am so happy to share these highlights with you all!
